CADENET AND ITS SURROUNDINGS: YOUR PLACE TO STAY
The word Cadenet comes from “Candellence”: the inhabitants of a high place… Cadenet, a little corner of paradise between Pertuis and Lourmarin, is one of the most beautiful villages in France. Set against a rocky promontory overlooking the Durance River, you will enjoy a panoramic view of the Luberon and the Alpilles.
The village has a feudal castle (a listed site). The troglodyte dwellings (a kind of cave) will also attract your curiosity, as will the museum of basketry.
The Parc du Luberon, the Régalon Gorges, the cedar forest, the botanical path of Bonnieux and Mont Ventoux are all places for walks that will delight.

THE MOST BEAUTIFUL VILLAGES NEAR VAL DE DURANCE
Discover picturesque and traditional villages around Cadenet that are worth a visit!
Puyvert, for example, will charm you with its authenticity. This small village nestled at the foot of the Luberon is crossed by the Aigue Brun which flows into the Durance.
You will discover little by little during your stay at Camping Val de Durance that the Vaucluse is dotted with delightful villages built during the Middle Ages.
Surrounded by vineyards and forests, among them is Aubignan between Mont Ventoux and Dentelles de Montmirail, and then you have the city of Avignon in the heart of Provence.
However, if you want a change of scenery, just 1.25 miles south-east of the village of Rustrel, the Wild West awaits at the magnificent Provençal Colorado.
CADENET LAKE
10 acres where you can relax and cool off in summer! Set in green surroundings, the campsite has a beach at the edge of the water where you can enjoy swimming, games in the water and of course lazing around during your holiday in the Luberon.
If you prefer adventures and thrills during your holiday at Camping Le Val de Durance, then the Régalon Gorges are made for you! You can wander between the high seeping walls, go on cool hikes and admire the Luberon massif.

- The largest drama festival in the world, the Festival d’Avignon, with its live arts and theatre performances, is an event you’ll love this summer.
- Opera performances, orchestras, contemporary composers… The Festival d’Art Lyrique d’Aix-en-Provence will take you on a journey through the seasons. With a particular affinity for Mozart’s operas, this event will teach you new things during your holiday in Provence.
- Every year in July, the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region honours lavender with a colourful festival! Visit lavender and sunflower fields and distilleries, meet producers, encounter artisan products and go on guided tours… The Fête de la Lavande on the Plateau de Valensole is well worth a visit!
